Will Tom Cruise Appear In Doctor Strange 2? New Rumor Reveals What to Expect

The moment Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was announced, fans started to theorize about who might make a cameo in the project. After all, the story features its main characters going through multiple realities; the possibilities are endless. One of the potential appearances that came up in discussion quite often was none other than Tom Cruise as Tony Stark.

Why would Tom Cruise even be on the list of people to play a Variant of Iron Man? Well, back before 2008's Iron Man, the big-time actor was circling the role of Tony Stark himself —though, as everyone knows, in the end, it went to Robert Downey Jr.

Another element that added fuel to the conversational fire was a brief moment during the 2022 SuperBowl spot, where many swear they can spot Superior Iron Man, a different version of the character who could be portrayed by Cruise.

With the film's impending release, an industry insider has spoken on the chances that Cruise made it into Multiverse of Madness... and it isn't looking so great.

Is Tom Cruise in Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness?

Rumors have been swirling about Tom Cruise's potential involvement in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness since 2020. With the project being less than two weeks away, an industry insider has once again spoken about whether the star would be making a cameo in the film.

On Twitter, KC Walsh was asked how much screen time Cruise would get in Multiverse of Madness, to which he responded with a GIF saying "zero," indicating that fans should not be expecting an MCU appearance from the Mission Impossible star in the next movie.

Looks Like Fans Shouldn't Expect a Cruise

While the words of KC Walsh don't make it a fact that fans won't see Tom Cruise in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it certainly doesn't inspire hope. Those still hoping for the cameo will likely keep their fingers crossed until the credits finish rolling.

One observation that also doesn't make it look great for a Cruise appearance is how the figure many believe to be Superior Iron Man is far more likely to be a Captain Marvel Variant. Even the powerset uses the same colors and effects displayed in Brie Larson's 2019 movie. Unless, of course, Tom Cruise is playing a version of that character instead,

There are plenty of other cameos that fans can hold out hope for. The project holds the potential to bring forth the likes of Deadpool, Professor X, or even a member of the Fantastic Four—there will no doubt be more than one surprise hero waiting for audiences when they arrive at the theater on May 6 to see the long-awaited film.
